Queria fazer um homagem ao meu melhor amigo e noivo, o Alex Valente. E porque é para ele, vou fazer em português. Alex é alguém que chegou na minha vida quando mal esperei encontrar com o amor da minha vida. Essa é a nossa história...um dia começamos a falar e nunca paramos de falar. Claro que a história é bem mais complicada que só isso, mas isso é o que realmente importa para a gente--que nunca paramos de conversar. Se a gente está conversando, estamos fazendo bem, pois nós nos respeitamos e nos esforçamos a entender o outro e sempre queremos resolver logo qualquer desafio, mal entendimento, situação, etc.

Mas falar assim parece que somos um casal muito sério, e isso não é a verdade. Nunca ri tanto antes do Alex chegou na minha vida. Nossa, adoro dar risadas com ele. Até rimos juntos quando ninguém mais riria, mas a gente gosta de rir e eu aprendi com ele que é bem mais gostoso rir com alguém que vc ama muito.

Alex se importa muito com o bem-estar das pessoas que ele ama e até com as pessoas que ele nem conhece. Tem um coração de ouro que às vezes pessoas tiram proveito dele, mas mesmo assim, ele continua a dar apoio e amor. Sou uma pessoa melhor quando estou com o Alex. Ele tem me ensinado muito sobre a vida e estou animada para continuar a aprender cada vez mais ao lado dele por toda eternidade.

I want to write a message to my best friend and fiancé, Alex Valente. And since it’s for him, I’ll write it in Portuguese. Alex is someone that came into my life when I least expected to find the love of my life. This is the story…one day we started to talk and we never stopped talking. Of course, the story is a lot more complicated than just that, but that is really what is important to us—that we never stop talking. If we are talking, we are doing fine, because we respect each other and we strive to understand the other, always want to quickly resolve any obstacle, misunderstanding, situation, etc.

But to say that makes it sound like we are a really serious couple and that is not the truth. I’ve never laughed harder in my life before I met Alex. Man, I love to laugh with him. We laugh together when no one else would laugh, but we love to laugh and I have learned with him that it is much better to laugh with someone that you love.


Alex is always concerned about the well-being of those he loves and even those he doesn’t know. He has a heart of gold. Sometimes people take advantage of that, but he still continues to show love and support. I am a better person when I am with Alex. He has taught me a lot about life and I am excited to continue to learn more and more at his side for all of eternity.
